Upcoming Health Education Events in the LRH Community





Members of the North Country Regional Healthcare network have collaborated to offer a series of monthly EMS Education programs.  The classes are offered by qualified presenters and typically occur on Thursday evenings.  The location of the classes rotates between the Burton Fire and EMS Academy in Bethlehem, the Northwoods Center for Continuing Education in Whitefield, Littleton Regional Health Care Conference Rooms and the Hugh J Gallen Career & Technical Center at Littleton High School. Class topics, dates and locations are listed on the Northwoods for CE site as they become available . To sign up for a program click the hyperlink in the title and fill out the enrollment form. If you have any further questions please feel free to email the education department at . ACLS / PALS Instructor Course

October 24th, 25th, 26th, 2017

This is an 8-12 hour TC faculty-led training course designed for candidates interested in becoming AHA certified instructors for ACLS and/or PALS.  After completing this course, students must complete one mentored/monitored ACLS and/or PALS Provider course with an AHA certified ACLS/PALS Faculty.

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)

PEARS was designed by the American Heart Association for healthcare providers who infrequently see critically ill children such as school, office, and medical/surgical nurses, emergency medical responders/EMT-Bs, Intermediate EMTs and other care providers who may care for children with acute respiratory and cardiac difficulties in a non-critical care setting. The main focus of PEARS is prevention, with a focus on assessment, recognition and stabilization of pediatric victims at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress. Students are prepared to assess, categorize, decide and act early to stabilize a child in respiratory/cardiac distress.  The course is also recommended for paramedics/critical nurses (off year for PALS) and urgent care center personnel. Cost is $125.00 , for more information and to registered click here.

DHMC Medical Grand Rounds
via Interactive Internet Videoconferencing at Littleton Regional Healthcare

Every Friday from 8:00 to 9:00 am Littleton Regional Healthcare presents Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Grand Rounds via an interactive internet videoconferencing link in the Gale Medical Library.  The programs are approved for CME credit.  Sessions start and end promptly.  The schedule of topics can be accessed through this hyperlink to the DHMC Medical Grand Rounds webpage.
