3. to provide learning resources and opportunities for all employees so they can engage in life-long learning for their professional growth.
The purpose of this mission is to support employees to provide quality, compassionate and accessible healthcare in a manner that brings value to our staff, patients, and their families. EBSCOhost Research Databases
The EBSCOhost Research Database is a library providing all healthcare professionals with online access to thousands of full-text journals in the Cummulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) database and over 500 reference and textbooks in PDF and HTML format. The full-text journal articles and eBooks can be downloaded or printed out. This is a relaible source for current knowledge and information for patient care and professional development. The website can be accessed at the point of care through Workstations on Wheels (WOWs) and all desk top computers in the entire North Country Healthcare system. Each employee can create a unique User ID and Password to access this resource off campus or through a smart phone/tablet by following the instructions on the website.
Lippincott's CE Center
Lippincott's CE Center is a suite of courses designed to provide nursing staff with evidenced-based knowledge to acquire basic and advanced skills for the acute, critical care, maternal child and peri-operative settings. The CE Center contains 44 certification exam preparation courses (including CN-OR, TNCC, BC-RN) for nursing, knowledge assessment tests, and over 2,000 CNE courses. To access this resource log onto Healthstream, click on the CATALOG tab and then click on the CE Center tab. This resource is available for all nurses employed in the North Country Healthcare system.

Plymouth State University offers a generic (full-time, on campus) BSN program and an online RN-BSN completion program. Nurses who completed an ADN at any Community College in the New Hampshire University System (WMCC, LRCC) pay the same tuition rate for the BSN completion program. Southern New Hamshire University offers a variety of online programs. Through an educational partnership between SNHU and LRH, employees and their family members qualify for a 10% discount on all SNHU online degrees. In addition, nurses who completed an ADN at any New Hampshire Community College since 2010 can complete their BSN online for the same tuition rate plus the 10% discount! University of Maine - Fort Kent Online RN-BSN program. This program is designed to be as flexible and responsive to individual student needs as possible within the constraints of curriculum, university and accreditation requirements, and quality educational theory. The length of the program is dependent upon the amount of acceptable transfer credit; success in completion of CLEP, proficiency, and nursing examinations; and part-time or full-time status.
