Littleton Regional Healthcare Announces Grant Award
October 15, 2015
LITTLETON - Littleton Regional Healthcare has received a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council to present What There Was Not To Tell. This program will be presented on Monday, November 16, 2015, at 6:00 PM, at the Littleton Regional Healthcare Conference Center.
In this program, Edie Clark explores "what there was not to tell" about World War II. She will discuss what war does to anyone it touches. She will describe how the loss of one man (the man her mother hoped to marry) affected not only her mother, his family, and her mother's family, but also Edie and her sisters as they grew up. Based on more than 2,000 letters left to Edie after her parents died, the specific story of her family's loss could be the story of any family who has lost a soldier in war, any war. This program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
The New Hampshire Humanities Council nurtures the joy of learning and inspires community engagement by bringing life-enhancing ideas from the humanities to the people of New Hampshire. They connect people with ideas. Learn more about the Council and its work at www.nhhc.org. Additional local support is provided by the Littleton Regional Healthcare Auxiliary.
