LRH Auxiliary Garden of Memories 2017

April 13, 2017

Littleton, NH - Littleton Hospital Auxiliary sponsors the Garden of Memories event on Thursday, May 18th, this year.

This annual remembrance program offers all area residents an opportunity to honor the memory of loved ones and friends... the birth of a baby, a happy event, or the passing of a loved one, recently or in the past.

Area residents are invited to participate by submitting a list of names of persons to be memorialized. A donation of $2.00 per memorial name is requested. A check made payable to Littleton Hospital Auxiliary and the list of memorial names may be dropped off at Littleton Regional Healthcare in one of the following locations: at the Main Entrance Welcome Desk, the Lower Atrium Volunteer Station or at the Medical Office Building Welcome Desk. You can place your donation and list in the decorated boxes at each of these locations. You can also mail your donation and list of names to Garden of Memories, c/o Kris van Bergen, 600 St. Johnsbury Road, Littleton NH 03561 on or before May 15th.

Net proceeds of the event benefit Littleton Regional Healthcare's Family Support Team, which provides support to families of LRH patients during times of health crisis.

The ceremony for this very meaningful program will be held Thursday, May 18th at 5:00 pm at Littleton Regional Healthcare, in the Memorial Gardens outside the Moose Ledge Gift Shop. In the case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the second floor conference room of the Medical Office Building.

The names of those being memorialized will be read aloud, a candle ceremony will be performed, attendees will enjoy music from the LRH Music Therapy volunteers and refreshments will be served. Following the ceremony, attendees will be encouraged to walk outside to view the garden. Bulbs are planted every fall in the present gardens and along the walk through the woods behind the hospital to create an impressive show of spring color and encouragement.
