LRH Auxiliary Awards $17,500 in Scholarships
June 26, 2017
Littleton, NH - Littleton Regional Healthcare's Auxiliary awarded the Marion Edmunds award for $2,500 to a well deserving student and another $15,000 toward scholarships to three LRH employees and seven high school seniors. All of the individuals receiving a scholarship are working to further their education in the healthcare field.
Each year the LRH Auxiliary supports the efforts of health care providers or those entering or returning to school to further their health care careers by providing scholarships. The funds raised for scholarships is made possible by the hard work of the LRH Auxiliary. The LRH Auxiliary hosts a number of fundraising events, and manages the Moose Ledge Gift Shop to make these funds available.
This year the Auxiliary awarded scholarships to LRH employees Sabrina Coleman, Kristina Harris, and Jaime Torres. Scholarship awards to area high school seniors include Caylea Bryer, Sydney Lambert, and Laura Superchi from Lisbon Regional High School, Abhinay Burra and Yu Sheng Cheng (Avery) from Littleton High School, and Kelsey Carlson and Kaleigh Corrigan from White Mountain Regional High School.
"The LRH Auxiliary is comprised of more than 100 men and women who volunteer to raise funds that support Littleton Regional Healthcare, states Cindy Mitchell, President of the LRH Auxiliary. In addition to scholarships the Auxiliary provides clothing for patients treated in the emergency room, support of the LRH Care-A-Van and North Country Women's Health Conference, books for pediatric patients, and annual support to the LRH Family Support Team. These are a just few ways the Auxiliary supports LRH."
