At a recent awards ceremony, the Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRH) Auxiliary presented $19,000 in scholarships to eleven deserving local high school seniors preparing to graduate and three dedicated LRH workforce members.
Every year, the LRH Auxiliary accepts applications from individuals pursuing continuing education in the healthcare field. Recipients must demonstrate exceptional dedication and a strong commitment to serving our community through their chosen healthcare careers.
This year, two $1,000 awards were presented in memory of long-time LRH Auxiliary members and nurses, Cindy Mitchell and Carlene Whitcomb, honoring their legacy and contributions to the field of healthcare.
The LRH Auxiliary’s primary fundraiser, the Moose Ledge Gift Shop, plays a crucial role in making these scholarships possible. Through the tireless efforts of the volunteers and the generous support of the community, the gift shop continues to provide essential funding for the LRH Auxiliary scholarship program.
“We are incredibly proud of all our scholarship recipients and grateful to our gift shop volunteers for their unwavering support,” said Claire Mei, Co-President of the LRH Auxiliary. “These scholarships are an investment in the future of healthcare, and we are excited to see the positive impact these individuals will have on our community,” added Mei.
The Littleton Regional Healthcare Auxiliary is dedicated to supporting LRH through various fundraising efforts, educational events, and community service projects. Since 1907, the LRH Auxiliary has worked to support a positive healthcare experience for the greater North Country community.
