The BEE Award – Rob Stowell!

Join us in recognizing our most recent recipient of The BEE Award – Rob Stowell!

The BEE Award for Exceptional Caregivers was established to complement our DAISY Award, which is specific to nursing. Standing for “Being Extraordinary Every Day,” any care team member can be nominated for The BEE Award. Both the DAISY and BEE Awards are presented quarterly, and nominations are accepted from patients, community members, and LRH personnel.

Rob is a dedicated member of our Security Department. He’s best known for being on standby with a wheelchair when someone presents at our Emergency Department/Main Entrance. He also plays a key role in maintaining a safe and healing environment for our patients, visitors, and workforce. Whether he’s responding to a code situation, lending a helping hand in an inpatient unit, or meeting a patient arriving for care, he’s known for being a confident, knowledgeable, and reassuring presence.

Rob’s nomination came from a patient’s daughter. She said Rob always goes out of his way to offer assistance when they arrive at LRH and need a wheelchair, and again when they are ready to depart. She said Rob’s “gentle manner, cheerful attitude, and warm smile” make every hospital visit easier, and her elderly father looks forward to seeing him.

Congratulations, Rob! Thank you for demonstrating our core values in every interaction and for being such a valued member of LRH.
