Join us in recognizing our most recent recipient of The DAISY Award – Sheryl Loveland, RN.
Sheryl, long-time labor and delivery nurse of LRH, was nominated for the Award by a recent patient whom she supported through a cesarean delivery. Not only did Sheryl provide comfort and guidance to this patient, who has a history of traumatic birth experiences, she did so on her day off. Sheryl accompanied this patient into the operating room for the surgery and assisted the patient and her newborn daughter with their first breastfeeding encounter together.
Coincidently, Sheryl was present for the birth of the patient 23 years ago which makes her involvement in welcoming the next generation into the world even sweeter. This patient and her family submitted a wave of nominations for Sheryl, rightfully so, along with other patient nominations that Sheryl received. Congratulations, Sheryl, on a much-deserved recognition! It is our honor to have you as part of the LRH family!
