Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRH) and Dartmouth Health (DH) share a strong commitment to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare. LRH and DH have a long and broad history of collaboration, with a focus on keeping care close to home and bringing more services to the greater North Country region. 

After two years of extensive evaluation of various affiliation models, LRH announced on September 12, 2025 that its Board of Trustees chose Dartmouth Health (DH) as its preferred partner. At that time, LRH and DH signed a Letter of Intent (LOI), which began a robust process of due diligence. Most recently, both organizations’ boards signed an Integration Agreement, which serves as the next step towards LRH becoming a member of the Dartmouth Health system.

The Integration Agreement formalizes the parties’ agreed-upon elements of the affiliation based on a shared commitment to the healthcare needs of the LRH community, a commitment to integrated quality, effective, and efficient services, and staying true to the organizational missions.

Upon the filing of a Notice of Change of Control by LRH, the NH Attorney General’s Charitable Trust Unit has 180 days to review the transaction, and during the review period they will hold a public hearing to gather additional input from the community. Information on that meeting will be shared once it becomes available.

On October 22, 2025, LRH held an informal “listening session” with LRH and DH leadership to hear directly from community about how to continue providing the highest quality, easily accessible healthcare to a rural population. A link to the recording is below.
