new EndoFLIP technology during a case last week where it was used for the first time!EndoFLIP (Endoluminal Functional Lumen Imaging Probe) is a minimally invasive medical device used primarily to evaluate the dimensions, pressure, and “stretchiness” of the esophagus and its sphincters in real-time. It is used to diagnose and guide the treatment of several gastrointestinal conditions, including Achalasia, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), and swallowing difficulties (Dysphagia).
EndoFLIP offers several advantages over traditional diagnostic methods, including reduced discomfort, real-time data, more accurate diagnosis, better surgical outcomes, and no radiation exposure.
The investment in this technology is part of our ongoing efforts to expand our anti-reflux and foregut program, enabling us to provide comprehensive care for patients with reflux disorders.
