The BEE Award for Exceptional Caregivers was established to complement our DAISY Award, which is specific to nursing. Standing for “Being Extraordinary
Every Day,” any care team member can be nominated for and receive The BEE Award. Both the DAISY and BEE Awards are presented quarterly, and nominations are accepted from patients, community members, and LRH personnel.
Chris is an invaluable member of our Anesthesia team here at LRH. In the nomination for Chris, the patient shared the experience she had with Chris as the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who administered her epidural during the birth of her son back in September.
The patient commended Chris for his medical skills and expertise, but equally for his bedside manner. She explained how Chris made an unpleasant experience tolerable and helped put her nerves at ease with his trustworthy and kind demeanor.
