We were honored to present Dr. Nicholas Marks with our first-ever BEE Award! The BEE Award for Exceptional Caregivers was established in April of 2023 as a
complement to our DAISY Award. Standing for Being Extraordinary Every day, any care team member is eligible to be nominated for and receive The BEE Award. Both the DAISY and BEE Awards are presented quarterly and nominations are accepted from patients, community members, and LRH personnel.
In the nomination, a recent patient shared how Dr. Marks went above and beyond to address her medical needs and pursue further evaluation, ultimately resulting in a referral to another specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment. The patient noted how Dr. Marks treated her with kindness and compassion, was thorough in addressing her concerns, and went out of his way to follow up with her.
This patient praised Dr. Marks as being an excellent example of the level of personal care that brings her to LRH for her healthcare. Undoubtedly, many other patients of Dr. Marks share this feeling as he does embody the high-quality, patient-centered care we strive to deliver here at LRH.
