Join us in recognizing our most recent recipient of The DAISY Award – Sue Trempe, RN!
Alena, the daughter of a recent surgical patient, Judit, submitted the nomination for Sue. In the write-up, Alena explained how Sue’s balance of professionalism and personality put the entire family at ease for their pre-op and post-op experiences.
With Sue, Alena knew her mom was in excellent and compassionate hands. She went on to describe how incredibly attentive Sue was, making them feel cared about just as much as they were cared for, even going the extra step to retrieve a pediatric gown that was a better fit for Judit.
We were thrilled to learn that Judit was available to join us for the award presentation, which was an absolute surprise to Sue. The two reconnected, bonding over their shared hobbies and similar interests. Congratulations to Sue for this well-deserved honor. She’s a perfect example of how a great nurse can make a difference for a patient and their entire support system!
