Dr. Lawson was the 2021 recipient of the Foundation for Healthy Communities’ Innovator’s Award. During a recent visit to the Foundation’s office, Peter Ames, the Executive Director, presented Dr. Lawson with his Award.
The Innovator’s Award recognizes an individual or organization demonstrating extraordinary ingenuity, creativity, and skill in improving health. The Foundation honors the Innovator’s Award recipients for their leadership and outstanding achievement in advancing their goals.
Dr. Lawson was nominated and selected for the designation for his longstanding commitment to the field of palliative medicine, his contributions to medical ethics in the North Country, and his lasting impressions in teaching future generations of healthcare professionals.
