The LRH Nursing Mentorship Award is presented annually to a nurse who demonstrates an extraordinary level of commitment to supporting the development of others. Earlier this week, Nursing Leadership, members of Administration, and her Med-Surg nursing peers came together to present this year’s award to Lauren Appleby, RN. As a preceptor, Lauren embraces the pivotal role of shaping the next classes of nurses with an unwavering commitment to excellence through the transition to professional practice.
Amidst the bustling and demanding environment of Med-Surg nursing, Lauren is a quiet yet constant source of guidance and support. She unlocks potential in novice nurses through mentorship, gentle nurturing, and tailored instruction, and serves as an ally for those newly entering the nursing field. Lauren’s gentle disposition inspires those around her to reach new heights of competence and confidence.
