Grateful LRH Intensive Care Unit Patient Donates Handmade Quilt to Raise Funds

LITTLETON, NH- After being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Littleton Regional Healthcare, patient Eileen Drolet knew she wanted to find a way to express her immense gratitude for the care she received while at LRH. Utilizing her creative skills, her way of saying “thank you” comes in the form of a handmade quilt. Her hope is that the quilt can be raffled off to raise funds to support the ICU and its staff at LRH.

LRH patient, Eileen Drolet, stands proudly with her handmade quilt as she donates it to the hospital to raise funds in support of LRH’s ICU and its staff

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic, industries and individuals across the country have felt the financial strain associated with this unprecedented health emergency. Hospitals are no exception. LRH has been fortunate to receive support in the forms of monetary and in-kind donations from longtime donors, community members, local businesses, and kindhearted patients, such as Eileen.

Accompanying the donated quilt was a handwritten thank you note with special shout outs to LRH staff members including Dr. Stephen Goldberg, Dr. Kuyilan Karai Subramanian, Jennifer Maccini, RN and Case Manager, John Scott, Director of Rehabilitation Services, Melody Glines, RN and Cardiopulmonary Services Manager, and members of LRH’s Environmental Services Department, ICU Staff, and Respiratory Therapists.

LRH is there for families, friends, and neighbors from the first moment of life to the final precious breath. People often ask, “What can I do in return?”. Financial support is needed now more than ever as LRH continues to respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Eileen’s generosity is proof that support can come in all shapes and sizes.
